UPDATE: Fans will have to wait three additional weeks to purchase Kendrick Lamar's major label debut, "good kid, m.A.A.d City."
Kendrick Lamar Moves "good kid, m.A.A.d city" Release Date To October 22
Kendrick Lamar is at work on his major label debut good kid M.A.AD city, While he's worked with Gunplay and Dr. Dre  on a few pre-album leaks, K. Dot says that guest features will be kept to a minimum on the project, explaining to CBC Nusic that the LP will be organic and that no collaborations will be forced.
“I’m selfish it’s all me,” he said. “I’ve got to pick what feels right. I never go into it thinking, ‘I want to get these people on there.’ No, I don’t force nothing and right now it’s turning out to be all me.”
He did confirm that his Black Hippy crew, which also includes Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, will make appearances on the album. But even as his profile continues to rise - he was recently featured on XXL Magazine's cover with Dr. Dre he doesn't feel the need to call on big name favors.
“People get in this position and feel like they need the big producers, the big artists,” he said. “Nah  I’m still hungry. I want to show and prove to the non-believers.”

Snoop Dogg is at the center of a lawsuit and a nightclub.
Snoop Dogg Promoter Sued For $115,000

Whether they booked Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion, a Los Angeles nightclub is livid that they didn't get some incarnation of the West Coast rapper as they had originally expected.
TMZ reports that Exchange LA has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against Movement Management, claiming that Movement promised to book Snoop for a show on June 30.
Exchange claims it paid a $15,000 depost (out of $25,000) to get Snoop for the show. Days later, Movement apparently said Snoop had been double-booked. Indeed, Snoop was in Europe at the time.
Exchange is suing for breach of contract and fraud, claiming that Movement has yet to pay up. Exchange is seeking $100,000 in punitive damages

What's your view and feeling regarding Hip Hop right now? People in South Africa, trying to make a career
out of it?

There is no way money in hip hop in SA, many people try to make it but its all flash nothing else, you do an event or sale CD and only a few people show up or buy that stuff and you wonder why.Yet let T.I or Wayne sale and make money in Africa, while here the African artist are dying.

Alot of mc's or cats dont know that hiphop is also and that music is BUSINESS...Streets cred dont play bills  cats need to go to school do short courses in marketing management and staff and understand the music business!!!

Is SA Afraid of Hip Hop?

They dont take South African Hip Hop seriously that's why they put us in the same category as Kwaito. At the SAMA'S, but I blame radio stations for not getting the recognition that we deserve.

No but S.A youth do not understand the meaning of the movement and its origin, Everybody just sees it as a quick way to make a buck and get out of poverty. This is where people need to get educated to understand more about it. This was never about money but rather a medium for young black youths to express themselves when times were not good, Malcom X days and slowly it became about sending a positive message to the youth to leave a life of drugs and gangs, and rather try to achieve more.

I personally think  it is the record companies, Entrepreneurs etc, Who do not use local talent and expose it to nationwide. The problem is record companies dont take risks but they wanna be filthy rich. Aint nothing bigger than Hip Hop.
